When I was about twelve years old a gang of us were asked to help clear out a house one Saturday afternoon. The old guy had died and left it to his nephew, who wanted to sell it as soon as possible. . . . more

About Me

Describe Yourself:Currently working as a department manager with ASDA, the UK's branch of Wal*Mart, but this could change in the next few weeks due to serious changes in the workplace. Outgoing, wicked sense of humour (though not crude - can't stand muck). Love talking to people. I believe everyone has something to say and it's an honour to listen to them.

My husband also loves John Wayne! When you get the opportunity, tell me a little about these books you love. I'll well familiar with Stephen King but the others not so much.
My family has a lot of Irish ancestry (northern) and my brother visited Ireland a few years ago and loved it. He brought me several coins to add to my coin collection. I'd love to go some day.

Thank you B. Gerad. I've done the same thing all my life. It seems I can only be one extreme or the other. Totally crazy, or totally introverted. I really hate being who I am sometimes. I've gotten much better at it with age, but it's still a challenge. At least with time I've come to accept who I am, they way I am created, and even though I hate being like this, I've learn to love myself. (which is an amazing feat in itself)

Thanks for your remarks and the wonderful story of divine intervention and salvation! Glad you had that help and I have to say that all the old "gods' of the "pagan" traditions are really angels too ...some archangels... and we would know them under different names in the Judaeo Christian tradition.
Tarot is full of christian symbolism. I know what you mean though and they make many people uncomfortable. Was certainly raised christian myself and was one time considering seriously becoming a nun.
Sad to say the knowledge to my generation of where in Ireland our family was from specifically is now lost for they came so long ago.. my great great grandfather was a scout leading and guarding the westward movement of people in the era of the wagon trains from the east that came west and road and work with Buffalo Bill Cody. I know his father was here and perhaps his grandfather too so it goes a bit of ways back.
They were from southern Ireland and Catholic is all I know..but he ran into a spot of trouble later for he divorced and remarried. What I really know is there was a clear understanding they were very Irish Irish people. My mother's name was Patsy Maureen O'conner.
Great angel story. Thanks for that! Blessings, Isis Andersen

Sorry to dissapoint, but I would'nt know where to start, or what to write about! and even if I did I would'nt know how to go about it. I am not really computer litterate, just learning as I go along, but I like Gather because I can join in even if in a very small way.
